David G. Vequist IV, Ph.D. is the founder and Director of the Center for Medical Tourism Research (www.medicaltourismresearch.org) - the very first academic center devoted to medical tourism research in the world. He is also a Tenured Associate Professor of Management in the H-E-B School of Business & Administration at the University of Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, USA. So far, he has presented on three continents about the business of medical tourism and has also produced several articles, papers, and is currently writing a book on the economic issues and impact of medical tourism.
