Martha Turnbull has a joint appointment with RBC Insurance Company of Canada and sister company Assured Assistance Inc. (AAI), both member companies of RBC.  As a Head; Auto, Travel & Property Claims, Martha’s current role includes responsibility for auto loss and damage and property claims, as well as emergency travel & medical assistance, provider contracting, claims operations across Canada. Martha has over 16 years of travel assistance, case management and claims experience.

A graduate of McGill University, Martha held various positions in emergency nursing as a staff nurse, educator and manager prior to joining RBC Insurance. As case management and other clinical issues are key to successful risk management in the travel insurance industry Martha maintains a clinical position as a staff nurse in the Emergency Department at The Credit Valley Hospital. Martha is the outgoing President of the Travel Health Insurance Association.
