As a managing director for VK STUDIO Architects, Planners & Designers, Paul Corbeel leads a multi-disciplinary studio of architects, engineers and technical collaborators, with projects mainly in healthcare. He focusses especially on the strategic interests of the client, and makes sure that the various realisations are finalized swiftly and efficiently. In collaboration with the various project teams, he explores alternatives and refines the architectural outline, optimally meeting the program and objectives of the client.

Paul has experience with and complex public projects, the Antwerp Law Courts being one the most remarkable examples, besides the development of several large-scale hospital campuses. In his experience, univocal and regular communication between all parties concerned is essential to finalize a project successfully and to the satisfaction of the client. As such, his first priority is the vision of the client,  who benefits from Paul’s expertise, knowledge and management-capacities. His approach also allowed the firm to win several competitions and awards with different projects.

These transparant working methods allow for all aspects of a complex project to be given a chance in the best of understandings, leading to a comprehensive and user-friendly architectural entity. Paul is the first ambassador of VK’s emphasis on healing design.
