Stuart Barton

President, CEO, and Co-Founder
American Seniors Association
Stuart Barton co-founded the American Seniors Association with his father, retired business executive Jerry Barton, in 2005 under the name of NASCON, National Association of Senior Concerns. Barton was named President of the American Seniors Association (ASA) upon the business’s inception. Barton has been instrumental in managing ASA’s significant growth over the past five years, while leading the business with a single mission: to provide seniors with the choices, information, and services they need to live healthier, wealthier lives.
Prior to the American Seniors Association, Barton served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing of the automotive division of ProMarketing, Inc. He represented various manufacturers’ products to retailers including Auto Zone, Advance Auto Parts, CarQuest, Bumper to Bumper, and NAPA Auto Parts. Barton began his business career as a management trainee with General Hardware Company. It was here where he learned the intricacies of distribution.
Barton then became a Management Consultant with the company Management Process, Inc. His management experience included implementing improved management controls, employee participation, inventory management, and problem solving techniques in manufacturing and distribution. His clients included Georgia-Pacific, Mead Paper, Nash-Finch grocery distributors, and Deringer customs brokerage. Barton’s early management efforts resulted in a total of $250,000,000-plus savings to these respected companies.
Barton went on to found Classico de Continental, a cigar distribution company franchised in 17 states. After building a network of distributors coast-to-coast, designing and implementing the sales and marketing programs for Classico de Continental, Barton sold the business to a Dominican Republic cigar manufacturer.
Barton attended Eastern Kentucky University, IMPAC University, and the University of Georgia, where he earned a degree in Business Administration and graduated with honors.
