Tamara J Bledsoe, ARNP-BC, MS NNP is the Director of the Wasie Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, a facility within the Memorial Healthcare System.
Tamara graduated from Barry University in 1990 with her Bachelor’s Degree in the Science of Nursing and began her nursing career in a level III Neonatal ICU where she worked as a staff nurse. Over the years, she has obtained her certification in High Risk Neonatal Nursing, functioned as a charge RN, transport RN, PICC line RN, preceptor, Assistant Nurse Manager and Nurse Clinician. In 2002 the NICU at JDCH joined the VON NICQ Quality Improvement Collaborative and she has led the VON initiatives at JDCH to date. In 2003 she graduated from SUNY at Stony Brook with her MS NNP. In 2004 she became the manager of the NICU at JDCH and became board certified as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. With the growth of the NICU at JDCH she transitioned into the Director role and became the project leader of the NICU construction project where 23 single patient rooms were added to the existing 41 bed multi-patient ward setting. She strives to enhance the safety, quality, and experience of the patients, families, staff, and physicians at the Memorial Healthcare System.
