Catalan Tourist Board
Jordi Secall has an academic degree in Humanities (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya), a bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Tourism Business Administration (Madrid, Official School of Tourism) and completed a Professional Development Program in Advanced Marketing in the School of Hotel Administration of Cornell University (USA).
From 2001 as the Marketing Director of the Catalan Tourist Board, he manages the strategic development of the Tourist Marketing Plan which basically includes the product development policy, the market intelligence unit, the European Union programs for tourism and the multimedia contents production. He also coordinates the marketing activities of the Barcelona Medical Destination program a joint initiative of the Catalan and Barcelona Tourist Boards together with the most relevant hospitals and health centres of Barcelona.
From 1990 to 2001 he worked in some relevant consultancy firms. During these years he traveled extensively, gaining a profound knowledge of the international tourism products and destinations and the hotel and travel industries. He was involved in different projects of tourist development in Europe, Caribbean, Africa, Central and South America.
